2. Rachael Farrokh, 37, says in the video made last month that she is finally speaking out about her illness, which she has been battling for “quite a while now.”

Farrokh is being treated by a doctor, a nurse, a therapist, and a specialist in California with the hopes of being transferred to the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders at the Denver Health Medical Center.

“(Farrokh’s doctor) actually has provided even extra care because right now she doesn’t think it’s safe for me to make the travel across country to a treatment center,” Farrokh told CNN. “We are trying to build up to that point to travel to a specialized treatment center like Denver Health.”

10. Edmonson said that he feels like his wife’s story has sparked a movement, and can raise awareness about the deadly disease.
